I left my heart in...

Kyoto
was beautiful.

The weather was simply awesome, and the sakura was in full bloom. Dango shops were selling the tri-colored hanami dango. There was a big concert at Heian Jingu. Women were walking around in kimonos. Colleges were welcoming freshmen. People were going on boat rides and bicycle rides along the river, and the river banks were lined with sakura trees.

Osaka was.. lively, really felt like it was a '사람 사는 곳'.
Ate a LOT (the result of spending a whole day with two big boys) and walked a lot (also the result of having boys as guides. In one day we ate: 46 dishes of sushi, 3 okonomiyaki and a yakisoba, 8 cans of Kirin beer, and nearly 7000 yen worth of kushikatsu.)
(If anyone is interested in dating one of those guys, I can tell you, the saying that "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach" is THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH when it comes to those particular guys.)

People were enjoying hanami around Osaka castle (blue plastic mats under every sakura tree, girls in high heels playing badminton, drunk freshmen sleeping on the road, drunk 아저씨 playing the drum, marching bands practicing for competitions, man showing tricks with his monkey, chocolate fondue at a street vendor which wasn't even cheap...)

And I felt like I just ruined the one day I spent in Kyoto because
1) I woke up late and thus had to cross out all my plans for the morning
2) I took the bus in the wrong direction and wasted a couple of hours on the road

But I made up for it with the Shin-en at Heian Jingu and craaazy shopping at Gion. ehehehehe
(gawd I lurv Yojiya! and Hanabihitotsu!)

So I'll be going back to Kyoto someday.
I reaaaaally wanted to see the garden at Ryoanji & Ginkakuji and the 10 kinds of sakura blossoms at ????? Temple.
Not to mention I missed out on Giyomizudera! the pride of Kyoto.

Oh and I must check out the Rikuro ojiisan Cheesecake store in Korea (Where could it be? it certainly hasn't become famous yet)!

----------------------------------------------------

I was too busy all day yesterday to think.. about anything much.
Today, I have only a little bit of work to do. This is harder to cope with.
I keep thinking 'I don't want to be here........!!!!!!'
Although I lurv my boss - he is so happy with the tiny bottle of sake I got him! kekeke

OMG. What a boring day. I only wish I was in Kyoto.
I keep clicking my heels but it doesn't work. Maybe because my shoes aren't ruby slippers?
