208th post

Just realized I haven't written in my blog for a while.
Guess I have been busy huh.

in the past two weeks i...:
- went on a wonderful trip to Jejudo with some debating folks and had an awesome time
- Got to know a great program which I will call "H". Made me realize how I was wasting my life only thinking and not doing.
- Finally made up my mind to start studying from March and to send in applications this year.
- Got to know many great people at H. Met up with the ttoraes once, promised not to use cusswords until the next time we meet (and we know we've already broken that promise many times)
- Got to know "5W" at H... And thinking about 5W every time I have a spare moment. Rediscovering the meaning of compassion, and thanking God for my relatively uneventful life (so far).
- registered for courses.. Got into all the classes I wanted, but discovered how much I lack info about who's teaching what course
- My best friend from college finally graduated!!! Congrats a million times.
- Went to Bueno for the first time in about 11 months.
- Met with friends, heard updates about their lives, updated them about my life (mostly about H and 5W)

and yesterday the 청년인권활동가 워크숍 began. The Asia Forum on Human Rights was boring for the most part, but I did learn a lot as I didn't know much about the laws that deal with migrant workers. The speech by Mr. William Gois and Professor Vitit Muntarbhorn were especially inspiring.
I feel so guilty bc I haven't been doing any of the research for my group.. But at the same time I really don't feel like doing it!! I'll try to make up for it by doing a good job at the skit today and by helping out with the interview and making PPTs. Or maybe I can even give the presentation (although I think the group leader might want to do that..).
I looked at the schedule for the remainder of the workshop and most of the lecturers are law professors and lawyers! I'm glad to know I can contribute to the human rights area by studying law.. although I'm still not sure as to the specifics: which group am i particularly interested in? or which group am I especially talented in serving? And how/where can I serve them?

Also reflecting on my conceited attitude: 'I am rich, you are poor' 'I am educated, you are not' and the like. I already learned at H that such an attitude will not get me anywhere and I will try to confront it and to demolish it, bit by every bit.
