Moses

you shall be brought up as a prince of an empire
but inside you will be a peasant
the son of a people torn by colonization and slavery
you will not be born with an articulate tongue
but you will experience His power when He 'puts words into your mouth'
you alone will know
what it means to be His instrument
what it means to trust Him and His guidance
to rely on Him,
and to know,
how limited your power is, and His, how infinite.
Yet people will praise you
because they have been blinded
they will refuse to see what they can see with their heart
and insist that they believe only what they see with their eyes
it will be your lifelong struggle to make people see,
that it is not you, but Him, that is great.
it will be your greatest temptation,
to let people call you great.
but inside you will know,
that you are not the one who is great, but He.
