I put off calling him coz I felt weird talking to him about money.

He is such an innocent person that I thought I would sound like a worldly b*tch if I talked about money with him.

But I should have just called him as soon as I finished translating. Then it would have saved both of us a significant bit of trouble.

I just hope he hasn't yet applied for a research grant (and I know what a pain in the ass that process can be, coz I've done it many times while I was Prof H's RA) just to pay me.

This incident just proves once again how ignorant he is of the realities of this world... (Or is it because his English is too good, so he's never had to pay anyone to translate his thesis before?)

How the heck is he going to live in 'the real world' if he's so naive? (And I thought I was pretty naive)

Moral of the day: If you gotta talk money, do it quickly and precisely.
